Title: The Fourth Dimension

Game Author: Mitchell Monhemius

Description:
The fourth dimensions tells a story of a future earth, when man uses a time device to share knowledge back to previous points in known history. This device ends up causing havoc with the X,Y,Z dimensions which will inevitably cause the destruction of the world as we know it.. It is your job to disable the computer program in the time device.

The gameplay sees you navigating corridors, picking up keys, opening doors. It is fairly simplistic to play, and has basic 3d visuals. We felt that the different dimensions you could activate in the level should have played a larger role, rather than just making a key appear in a certain location.

It kept us playing until for some reason it ended (incomplete ?). A good solid entry, which needed a little more polish and gameplay.

This game had the potential of being really good, but fell short in my opinion when it came to gameplay. There were minimal sfx and the music stopped playing and never started up again. I just found myself getting bored quickly.

Nice looking game here, but i did find the use of time a little tacked on, so it didnt
score as much as 1 or 2 others in that department. It had plenty of atmosphere though, and
i did like the old time song :P

I wish I could have played this game more but the speed of it just put me off playing past the third level. As Jon said, if the different dimensions were represented in a better way than just making a key appear then it would score better.

Apart from that, I'll give you extra points for the Stones.

Nicely presented game this, i liked how the menus were layed out in this. Nice intro with a LOAD of text to read :)

The game itself was a bit buggy in places.......i think, maybe they wanted baddies to shoot through walls, i dont know.

A decent entry. I felt that the game did not move fast enough, and there was not enough visual effects to show the dimensions effects. I think it could have been alot better if the different dimensions, had changing map visuals.

This entry did not really embrace the time theme of the competition all that well unfortunately - despite of that I thought it was quite a good game.

The graphics were very good and built the atmosphere well. The intro sequence and menus were cool too. Lots of puzzles and bit to keep me occupied and nice easy to use controls. It would have been nice to have some original music in the game - but it was quite entertaining to run around a satellite avoiding aliens to a backdrop of Bohemian Rhapsody! XD

Good effort :)

This game, while a little buggy, comes across quite intrestingly. Unfortunately, there isn't much time to punch in with the gameplay, but it sure as heck wraps around the story quite well.

The game is very well presented, but the game itself is just a tid off what I'd like to see. A nice try (:

Also, I'll make a professional reccomendation.
The data should not go in the EXE file itself... especially when your EXE totals 102mb. This is because the ENTIRE program file loads into memory (there goes 102mb), and then runs. You're probably then extracting the data so it can be loaded again easier, rather than accessing directly from the program data block using resourcelock functions. This hits a huge toll. The initial loading takes up 102mb, then to reload the other data is nearly double that total. With 256mb, this took forever to load.
